Ethics Officer at De Montfort University

De Montfort University's Centre for Computing and Social Responsibility (CCSR) is offering the position of an Ethics Officer to work on the European Flagship Human Brain Project (HBP). The post holder will contribute to the Ethics Management activities of the HBP by supporting the Ethics Management team in terms of administration, communication and fact finding.
Summary:
The successful candidate will oversee the administration of ethics management and contribute to the development of ethics management policies and processes. This will include interacting with other partners in the ethics management team and with the approximately 120 project partners across Europe and beyond. In order to achieve this, the candidate should have a good understanding of research ethics and the management of European research projects. She or he will need to have excellent communication skills to interact with the world-leading scientists who contribute to the research. In addition the candidate will be able work independently and be self-motivated.
Project leader in DMU is Prof Bernd Stahl. The position is potentially open to less than full time employment and may allow for remote working arrangements in agreement with the project leader.
